News from ECCMID 2026
Several members of our team had the pleasure of attending ECCMID Global in Munich (April 17–21, 2026), one of the leading international events dedicated to infectious diseases, clinical microbiology, and public health. Each year, this congress brings together researchers, clinicians, industry representatives, and experts from around the world to discuss the latest scientific and medical advances.
Key topics at this year’s edition included preparedness for future pandemics, antimicrobial resistance, new diagnostic approaches, innovation in immunology, and the long-term monitoring of emerging viral infections—strategic areas that are shaping the medicine of tomorrow.
Participating in an event of this scale is essential to stay at the forefront of innovation, foster new international collaborations, and benchmark our work against leading experts in the field. It also provides a valuable opportunity to showcase our expertise and identify new avenues for applied research.
On this occasion, our team presented four scientific posters on current topics:
- SARS-CoV-2 antigenemia;
- the functional type I interferon response in patients who experienced moderate or severe forms of COVID-19;
- serological profiles according to different COVID-19 immunization schemes (natural infection or vaccination);
- the nasal IFN-I response as a potential diagnostic tool for viral infections.
Our presence at ECCMID Global reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, knowledge transfer, and the development of practical solutions in the service of public health.
